Cancer Rehabilitation

Friends.jpg (133944 bytes)

Hello,  my name is Bo Bennett

In April of 2004 I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer.   I made some changes and things are working well for me.  If you, or, you know of someone that is battling cancer you may find this site useful.  There is no magic pill, rehabilitation requires change This site and book reflects my journey with LC.  A diagnosis of LC  is ongoing so please bear with me as journey on, and as I create this site.

Good luck in your Fight

A Layman's Approach to Fighting Cancer             The Book.JPG (10635 bytes)The book is a data file and you must install a DNL reader to view it. It is   at this site http://www.desktopauthor.com/ at the middle top of page,   a one click instantaneous and harmless installation.

There are other books, good books, and one I have found, writen by John C. Ruckdeschel, MD, Professor of Medicine & Oncolgy,http://www.karmanos.org/app.asp?id=536 former Director, H Lee  Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Insitute, presently Director @ The Karmanos Cancer Institute, is a step beyond anything out there.

I have read these percentages  from time to time, the exact percentages change from read to read, but I believe they are close

"One doctor stated, "About 15 to 20 percent of people who are seriously ill would prefer to die if given the opportunity, 50 to 60 percent are willing to get better so long as the doctor does the work and the medicine doesn't taste too bad. The final 15 to 20 percent say, ‘I'll do anything I have to do to get well. Just show me.'"

like Mr. Bloch said, and I echo the statement, "my book and my site was written with the later in mind".

and if no one shows you            read on,,,,,,,,

I am not a doctor and I have no medical training. The medical issues I discuss are intended as         general information for the context of this web site. Take my personal thoughts of my condition          as  my opinion

If you are interested in an informative and useful account concerning one mans journey from ill health to health, read on.

I claim no cure, I do claim that I went from ill health to good health in the remarkable time frame of three months and I believe it was a result of changes that I made. Though I was diagnosed only 6 months ago my symptoms started 1 year ago. Mainstream medicine announces Stage IV Lung Cancer has an average survival time of 7 to 8 months with a 2% chance of surviving five years.  Due to my 6 month downhill fall and ill health, while not understanding my disease upon diagnosis,  I accepted what mainstream medicine coldly spells out.  Metastasized lung cancer is terminal.

I made some changes and along with a little luck ?

I no longer accept the terminal prognosis.

This is an example of information that is inflammatory,

http://www.lecurenaturali.com/sesta_dichiarazione_ENG.htm

it may have some value for the informed but has nothing but trouble for someone who is searching. Even commenting on it brings some irresponsibility with the comments. I can’t find the other declarations, I can’t even find the English version of the base web site. What I found is

( while searching for the “basic chemotherapy types) was this. http://www.lecurenaturali.com/sesta_dichiarazione_ENG.htm

in English. The first sentence was enough to piss me off.

The failure of Chemo-therapy

Any form of chemo-therapy causes irreparable damage to the physical condition of whoever exposes themselves to the action of these poisons called "cyto-toxic medicines".

The following is my rebuttal.

One really needs to read my book to fully understand where I come from but,,,, I don’t doubt and agree that chemo is bad stuff and probably does cause irreparable damage to the physical condition, if you set on your ass and let it or maybe even if you get off your ass. I know for a fact that cancer does cause “irreparable damage to the physical condition”. I know for a fact that after 8 months of cancer   “irreparable damage to the physical condition” was happening and   that within 6 weeks of using the “irreparable damage to the physical condition” stuff, my world changed from misery to wonderfully no misery. My book explains much of this route but basically, after a year of reflecting, I still feel I was within a very short period of dead. Luckely my wifes discretion played the ultimate role in decision making.

I considered no chemo initially, because, “poison, cut and burn” has been burned into my and the publics mind, by these types of writes. Agreed, there is a lot of qualifying behind both our writes but we each display our point easily..

I will qualify this with. I will challenge anyone to a hump through the mountains, anywhere, to prove that the statement Any form of chemo-therapy causes irreparable damage to the physical condition of whoever exposes themselves to the action of these poisons called "cyto-toxic medicines". Or meet me on the top of Mt. McLoughlin in September Unless of course this year of chemo-therapy wasn’t such a good idea and the ya-hoo who wrote the Failure of chemo-therapy was right.

Thoughts on Smoking

In my readings I came across a few articles that implied cancer "thrived" off of sugar.  I have yet to find that information in the mainstream, however

When I was first diagnosed and at my low point I had a need to know what the dying process was all about, yet I was scared to find out.  Just recently I found this link http://crossingthecreek.com/guts.htm#INTRODUCTION, a comforting read

I have never been a stanch believer in spirituality though many of us have things happen from time to time, in a spooky kind of way. Today one of those things happened to me,,,,,,,,

In 2005, the American Cancer Society predicts there will be: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=578&e=8&u=/nm/20050120/ts_nm/health_cancer_dc

-- 232,090 cases of prostate cancer with 30,350 deaths

-- 212,930 cases of breast cancer, with 40,870 deaths

-- 172,570 cases of lung cancer with 163,510 deaths Why the disparity in survival rates?

-- 104,950 cases of colon cancer, with 56,290 deaths

-- 59,580 cases of melanoma, with 7,770 deaths

-- 56,390 cases of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, with 19,200 death.

It is interesting to note the higher percentages of survival rate for cancers, other than lung cancer. Those statistic don’t mean jack to me, however they are telling.  I believe that change will move a lung cancer victim stats  into those higher survival ranges,

Five Easy Steps to Getting Cancer

When you read over and over about these things that contribute to cancer,  at some point it starts to sink in that, yea,   maybe there is something to this.  The problem is, most, the majority, of western society practices these steps with enthusiasm.   Ever try to tell an alcoholic its in their best interest to stop drinking.  Ever try to tell the whole bar to stop drinking.   Soon your asked to leave and to not come back.  Whatever message you pass and however you pass the message, there is no doubt refraining from alcohol is in the best interest of an alcoholic.

Personally, and as a former smoking alcoholic,  Smokers and alcoholics are stupid.   I have no problem with stupid people.  I have serious problems with those that contribute to the delinquency of those who have yet to become stupid.
