When I began my search for information on cancer, by means of the internet, I quickly learned that health was another area that I had been led astray by our field of educated leaders. I also learned that there were a multitude of opinions regarding cancer specifics. I found many web sites that sold information, treatments and supplements. All the information I found was in the form of, you dont have to do anything to help yourself, you just have to buy the magic pill, or have chemo, radiation or surgery
My book is written with the passion of my opinion. I take no credit for facts and information however I will take responsibility for my logic and reasoning. Facts and information are passed down through the years, and should at times be looked at with suspicion, as reason and logic dictates. However, there comes a time when we must believe in something or we can not take another step. What this book is about
Following my diagnosis of cancer I slowly became aware that all was not what I expected, my journey to understand and get through these times were often met with, I dont know or where can I find out. Following my diagnosis, this chapter of my life started to become the new normal and I realized that in order to survive I needed control. This book is about gaining control and calculating survival. We are now slowly learning that all is not what it seems. If I try, and at times I will, to present facts and figures, invariably I will get some wrong. After all I get my facts from the same sources as most all who present them. From someone else!!
If the reader looks to this book simply as a guide I assure you that it will be helpful. As we come face to face with this disease an important point comes to light, a change is in order. Remember, if we want to change the course of our disease we must make changes. NO CHANGE, and there will be NO CHANGE!! The format for this book is one that is dynamic as information is based on my journey with cancer starting with events in my life that set the stage for me to get cancer and my reaction to this diagnosis. My journey and thoughts are constantly changing. This book has no end as a cancer diagnosis is non ending. It aint over till its over. As you come face to face with such opinions that you find hard to accept, trouble yourself less with deliberating the conflict until after you have made changes based on what you do accept. If this book does nothing more that stir you to any type of action, then we will have both accomplished a positive action. This is not the time to be passive!!!!!
