The Oncologist

Based on the chest X-rays a CT guided biopsy, and his assessment of my arm and hip complaints, (the oncologist has yet to see the pet scan report, he sets my cancer at Stage IV. Wham. I ask him, how much time do I have, already knowing that Stage IV has an average of 7 to 8 month survival time, he looks at me, and lightheartedly says, “your healthy”. He also tells me, don’t worry about it at this point.

The doctor comes into the room, he asks a few questions and we talk a little about radiation.
