Those Few
During the later phase of my symptoms and the early diagnosis period I was aware of 6 other victims of cancer/lung disease. It is interesting to note I live in a town of less than 300 in a county of around 7000. Four of these victims are in the town I live. Another interesting note is the fact that in this small town I have known at least another dozen in the past 15 years that have died due to this disease. Thinking that this is a frequent occurrence I have often wondered if it was abnormal and if there was a connection. My thoughts have run the gamut and many of the similarities are consistent with personalities and lifestyles.
Five of these victims had a negative experience with their doctors before or during their initial period of diagnosis. In addition there are some interesting issues surrounding each of these people.
The similarities that these and other victims shared prompted me to examine my own plight more closely
I came to realize that seldom are cancer victims diagnosed with similar conditions and even if they are, rarely are personalities and lifestyles similar.
